Upon recovery from a severe shoulder injury playing baseball at McNeese State University, Joseph M. Angelo, PA-C, knew he wanted to care for orthopedic patients. He helps patients understand their condition and treatment options so they can make informed decisions about their health. Angelo compassionately restores mobility, reduces pain and enhances quality of life for orthopedic patients using evidence-based practice. 

The treatments/interventions he provides include:

• Musculoskeletal sports injuries
• Shoulder/knee osteoarthritis
• Acute orthopedic injuries
• Complete orthopedic workup that may include injections, physical therapy referrals, diagnostic imaging, and further injury and illness prevention

Originally from Lake Charles, Angelo graduated with a Bachelor of Science from McNeese State University and a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from LSU Health Sciences Center-Shreveport School of Allied Health Professions. He is a board-certified physician assistant (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants) since 1999.

In his spare time, Angelo enjoys deer and duck hunting, spending time with his family and traveling.
